JMW Designs: New Freeport Book: A Photographic Journey

Color is my passion! I have loved color since my first box of Crayola crayons. As a self-taught knitter, I have expressed color in fiber and texture. Co-owning a yarn studio for fiber arts in Charlotte helped my growth. My weaver partner, Jo Morgan, had a masters in fine arts and was a significant mentor for me. We spent our days in the world of COLOURS! We were able to study with two leading knitting designers in the world, Kaffe Fassett and Alice Starmore who taught me so much about color and textures as well as "seeing" things in every day life which many people miss. Photography has been a major force in my life and the digital revolution has provided me with yet another tool of expression. My photographs underscore that colors sing to the soul.

Cards and Calendars are my newest endeavor. Collections have been assembled including many local nostalgic haunts from my childhood years in Northwest Illinois.

I want to bring back memories of "childhood yesterdays" with photographic images ranging from local parks to skate keys.
